Krystal Kiran is a performing artist, choreographer, educator and theatre director. As a performer she has appeared on Broadway, in film, television, theatres and arenas internationally. She is the creator and Head of KM Music Conservatory’s Musical Theatre program in India and is deeply passionate about teaching performing arts education. 

KRYSTAL’S STORY 

 DTRC has played an integral role in my development as a dance professional and educator. Having begun my professional performing career at the age of sixteen, there have been various seasons of life and work since. The counselling services at DTRC have been a major source of support during these transitional times. These services have helped me understand how my identity as a dancer intersects with life holistically. 

 DTRC also helped me go to university as an adult with their academic funding grants. This reignited spark for education has encouraged me to explore my work as an artist and educator through a different lens, ultimately enriching my overall practice. 

DTRC has been a saving grace in my evolution as a dance professional. Without the supports I was provided in various areas of life, be it counselling or funding for education, I would not be where I am today. Becoming a member has been one of the best investments I have made personally and professionally. Deepestgratitude to this wonderful organization. The support that I’ve received from DTRC has inspired me to invest in the lives of other dancers who can be supported as well.
