Campaign: Build a Future

The DTRC staff, board, and dancers across Canada would like to acknowledge and thank historical supporters since the campaigns launch in 2005.

DTRC marks 40 years with the launch of our

Build a Future campaign and Virtual Donor Wall!

Please join us in celebrating – and supporting – Canadian dancers by leaving a lasting legacy. This campaign honours those who have made a significant contribution to dance, both on stage and off, and acknowledges an ongoing commitment to the art form. It also gives DTRC supporters an opportunity to pay tribute to significant individuals, groups, artists, mentors, teachers, family, friends, and colleagues.

Whether you wish to acknowledge a dance champion or an unsung hero in the dance community who may not always receive the recognition they deserve, the Build a Future campaign is a unique opportunity to honour their talent and dedication with a permanent gift.

All new campaign Stones will join those from past campaigns on our physical Donor Wall at our Toronto headquarters and will also appear on our newly designed Virtual Donor Wall, providing an ongoing reminder of remarkable people and of the generosity of our donors.

With Build a Future, donors can choose to dedicate a Stone at five different levels of giving. We like to think of these legacy Stones as a symbolic pathway that represents support for professional dancers at every stage of their career journeys.

  • STEP 1: Choose to make a permanent tribute
    • In the name of somebody you wish to honour
    • In memory of a family member, friend, or colleague
    • In the name of your favourite artist or company
    • In your own name

    * Dedicate a Stone from you alone or come together with a group to pay tribute to a chosen honouree.

  • STEP 2: Select your contribution level
    • $10,000 Pinnacle Stone (platinum)
    • $5,000 Corner Stone (gold)
    • $2,500 Key Stone (silver)
    • $1,000 Foundation Stone (copper)
    • $500 Stepping Stone (bronze)

**ALL donations under $500 are welcomed and will be allocated toward a special Stone in honour of DTRC’s 40th Anniversary  from our dedicated donors.

  • STEP 3: MAKE A DONATION

*** Please add your Honouree’s details and your dedication message in the notes section.

“I became a donor for the DTRC because I feel it is the least I can do considering the financial support I received and the impact it has had on my life. In addition, I want the organization to be there for future generations making the transition as I did, from a career that leaves one with very little in their bank account to sustain them through such a challenging time in their life.”
