DTRC staff and representatives offer 1 hr Career Orientations and interactive 1.5-2 hr Career Planning Workshops at dance companies, training programs, schools/studios, and community hubs across the country.
Understand parallel, portfolio and post-performance career pathways. Get answers to key questions about working in dance. Discover essential support organizations in the sector, and of course, learn about DTRC’s programs.

Get savvy with hands-on guidance: 5 Sessions
Build your career connections in these practical “how-to” sessions in Zoom led by DTRC staff-artists – Giulia Tripoli and P. Megan Andrews – and special guests who’ve lived the dance life. Participate in a unique, informal group mentorship opportunity with colleagues from across the country. Meet 5 times over 2 months in a small group context. Bring your materials, ask your questions, receive expert feedback & coaching.

Unavoidable? Yes. Overwhelming? Doesn’t have to be. Understand what’s required and prepare for what’s coming. Minimize your tax stress by maximizing your control. This workshop will help you clarify your context, identify relevant categories, and provide you with techniques to tackle your taxes with ease.
A group of dance service organizations from across Canada are partnering to jointly offer a special Taxes for Creatives workshop presented by DTRC’s financial counsellor Jennifer Long.

DTRC proudly hosts this annual Career Development Conversation & Networking Opportunity for the dance sector. This national flagship event – in Zoom – features a candid panel conversation with acclaimed dance artists about career choices, challenges, strategies and realities, followed by a digital networking session with invited artists and guest industry leaders.
