Job Shadowing & Informational Interviews

Get a feel for the real; sample a new non-performance career path to see if it’s a fit for you. Follow an active professional in the field and experience the context, pace and flow of the work. Understand the responsibilities and observe the practical skills in action.

How might you activate your fulfilling future career?

This job shadowing and informational interview program focusses on parallel and portfolio career exploration for dance artists. DTRC members and alumni working alongside and beyond dance will provide individuals with opportunities to gain valuable insight into diverse career paths.

Participants will benefit from the relatable, lived experience of someone who has gone before and carved their own new career reality.

PROGRAM RUNS MAY THROUGH OCTOBER 2024.
- Available to participants in the Expansions mentorship program only
- Opportunities are context-specific, ranging from 1 hour to several days
- Zoom or in-person, depending on the field of work, location and pairing
- Confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements may apply
- Limited opportunities available
