Colleen Lanki gains valuable graphic design skills

"With a DTRC skills grant, I was able to learn basic HTML and graphic design software." - Colleen Lanki

With a DTRC skills grant, I was able to learn basic HTML and graphic design software. Using these skills I have been able to build two websites – one for myself as a performing artist and the other for TomoeArts, a company I founded in October 2008.   I also created the logo, business cards, and pamphlets for the company, and designed the posters and flyers for our first show, Ten Nights of Dream. Without the DTRC skills grant, I would never have been able to do any of this.  The graphics and websites have given myself and the company a professional image, and allowed me to not so much transition, but shift into a more fully capable artistic administrator.
