Cameron Fraser-Monroe is a member of the Tla'amin First Nation, as well as being of Ukrainian and Scottish descent.  At three years old he started Ukrainian dancing in Vernon, BC leading him into a wide variety of music, theatre, and performance.  He was privileged to receive several years of training and performance with World Champion Hoop Dancer Dallas Arcand, and studied Grass Dance from a young age.
Since graduating from the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School on the RWB Alumni Scholarship, he has performed with Red Sky Performance at the prestigious Jacob’s Pillow Festival, with Dancers of Damelahamid at the Banff Centre and the International Cervantino Festival, and with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet at the National Arts Centre, among others.  This is his second season with the Atlantic Ballet Theatre of Canada.
As a choreographer Cameron has received commissions on Ballet Kelowna, the Royal Winnipeg Ballet Aspirants, the Winnipeg Summer Dance Collective, PULSE on APTN, and Indigenous Day Live! 2018 and 2019.  He continues to practice and present solo hoop dance.
He has been fortunate to worked directly with choreographers Mark Godden, Septime Webre, Mauricio Wainrot, Josh Beamish, Jera Wolfe, Santee Smith, and Margaret Grenier. 
Cameron has served as Artistic Director for the Winnipeg Summer Dance Collective for the past three years.
