The DTRC held a special donor reception at the studio of photographer David Cooper in Vancouver on May 11, 2013.  The evening gave us an opportunity to say thank you to our BC supporters and to share with them the work of some of our extraordinary Vancouver members. Aerial artist Keely Sills Remillard astonished us with her strength, grace and artistry on silks, while the company Karen Flamenco displayed the beauty, fire and passion of that art form. As a bonus, guests had the opportunity to watch a celebrated dance photographer in action as David directed a photo shoot with these artists, as well as the fabulous Lisa Gelley!

“The event was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our BC donors and the impact their support has on the lives of Canadian dancers, every step of the way,” said DTRC’s Executive Director Amanda Hancox.

In addition to capturing the beautiful images above, David Cooper also created this fantastic time-lapse video of the event.  A very special thank you to our dancers for their inspiring performances and to David Cooper for sharing his talent and space for this terrific evening!

A huge thank you to the team who helped us put on this event!
