Schedule

1:45 pm - 3:15 pm Injury Prevention

with Lina Malenfant, Osteopath D.O. (Montreal)

Lina Malenfant, former dancer turned osteopath, brings her in-depth understanding of the human body to this highly practical workshop. Learn fundamental principals of anatomy and movement physiology, and how to apply these principals to dance performance and training to greatly reduce your risk of injury.

This workshop is suited to anyone interested in anatomy and movement, regardless of their movement practice or style of training.

5:15 pm - 6:45 pm

CV, video and service organizations

With: Parise Mongrain (DTRC Quebec Program Officer), Véronique MacKenzie (Dance artist and
DTRC Atlantic Canada Representative) and  Dianne Milligan (Executive Director – Dance Nova Scotia)

Learn how to write an effective CV and create a promotional video that gets noticed!  Véronique and Dianne will also talk about the regional service organizations supporting dancers in Atlantic Canada. Participants are invited to discuss any concerns they may have about a professional dance career in Canada.
