MORNING SESSION

LIVING CREATIVELY

This morning session will bring together early and mid‐career dance artists and broader dance community members, to talk about how to thrive in a life in dance. All who have a stake in the dance community are encouraged to attend, and to take this opportunity to connect, strategize, explore, and identify what we can do right now to address our most challenging and exciting opportunities.

Facilitated by Misha Glouberman of Collective Intelligencethe morning session will use techniques drawn from open‐space technology and unconferences, to create a highly participatory set of discussions on topics chosen by you—the people in the room.

What to expect: You know those exciting, energetic discussions that happen on coffee breaks at workshops and conferences?  Well this morning session is like an extended, facilitated coffee break… giving you the opportunity to propose topics, select discussions to participate in, and to really connect with other people working in dance.

What not to expect: Panels, presentations or a keynote speaker.  Passive listening.  Pre‐determined outcomes
