Thank you to everyone who came out to keep on MOVING's LIVING CREATIVELY!  Early to mid-career dance artists joined broader dance community members to talk and learn about how to thrive in a life in dance.  Many thanks to everyone who made the day such a success!

Unconference Discussion Topics

As part of the morning unconference session, participants were invited to propose topics for discussion.  These are some of the topics they chose:

  • The importance of a mentor

  • How to give yourself a name

  • Supporting the work of dancers in all genres – why is there a disconnect and how can it be improved?

  • Getting “non dancer” bums in seats

  • How to find donors

  • Educating dancers about the community before they leave their studio or arts school

  • Partnering and collaborating

  • Navigating social media and connecting tech savvy people with those in need

  • Space for dancers to gather, hang out, and connect
