From March 24th – April 7th 

 

Please note that the format of the workshops will include a lecture - in French - from a leading professional, followed by a discussion with invited respondents and those in attendance from the dance community.  This event will include a luncheon.

1st WORKSHOP: TAME YOUR CAREER TRANSITION:

 

March 24th

 

Considering a career transition can sometimes generate strong emotions—positive and negative—worries, doubts and stress.  One often wonders how, where or when to begin?  As part of this talk, we will discuss the cycle of transition and the emotions, perceptions and attitudes that accompany it, as well as the actions you can take to develop your parallel or alternate career.  A discussion will follow to allow each participant to reflect on possible avenues for acquiring the necessary skills leading to a parallel or alternative career.

2nd WORKSHOP: PREPARING TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL!

 

March 31th 

 

Effectively returning to a program of study following a career is a significant endeavour that comes with a host of emotions, both positive and negative.  This session will address the structure of academic study, the investment in time and energy required, as well as potential obstacles you may encounter along the way.  Learn about the resources available to help you succeed.  A discussion following the presentation will assess the skills of each participant that are transferrable to their pursuit of higher education.

3rd WORKSHOP: WAKE THE ENTREPRENEURIAL ANIMAL SLEEPING INSIDE YOU!

 

April 7th

 

The CRTD invites dance artists with an entrepreneurial project in the pre-development or development phase to register for this workshop/express coaching session with trainer Martin Choquette.  By outlining the qualities and skills required for starting your own business, this workshop will provide you with the necessary tools for developing your business plan with reference to available funding sources.
