Due to the nature of the profession, many dancers have international careers. Because of this, they may not meet the eligibility criteria to receive a retraining grant through one of the established transition centres.
As a tribute to its founder, the International Organization for the Transition of Professional Dancers (IOTPD) has created the annual Philippe Braunschweig Grant for retraining. This grant is meant for professional dancers who have had an international career and who don't qualify for transition support from any one of the countries where they have danced.
IOTPD Philippe Braunschweig Grant – deadline extension and change to criteria
The deadline for the 2015 IOTPD Philippe Braunschweig Grant for retraining assistance has been extended to April 30, 2017. Eligibility criteria has been changed to open the grant to a larger number of international dancers. Please see the IOTPD website for details, including the application guidelines and application form.
