DTRC Seeking Coordinator for on the MOVE & keep on MOVING Toronto Conferences

Position: Coordinator for on the MOVE & keep on MOVING Toronto Conferences, 2018-19

Job location: Toronto

Job Type: Part-time, 8 month project contract - mid-July 2018 to mid-March 2019.
Commensuration:   $6,000

Presented each year by the Dancer Transition Resource Centre in collaboration with dance service organizations, on the MOVE and keep on MOVING are dynamic career planning/development and networking events for graduating dance students (OTM) and any dance artist (KOM)


Responsibilities to include:

Lead project manager

Communications liaison for Steering Committee – setting monthly meetings and tracking tasks

Artist/presenter liaison

Setting up online registration

Recruiting and organizing volunteers

Liaising with venue and catering staff

Handling ‘day-of’ logistics

Organizing the conference post mortems

Keeping track of statistics for reporting purposes



Highly organized and detail-oriented

Exceptional communication skills

Exceptional multi-tasking skills

Ability to work both in a team and with minimal supervision

Knowledge of, and interest in, the Canadian dance community

Previous event planning or project management experience
