Véronique has been one of Nova Scotia’s most eclectic choreographers for more than 20 years, having created multi-disciplinary and site-specific programs for a variety of festivals and self-productions across the region. After having won one of Nova Scotia’s prestigious Established Artist Awards last fall, which was presented by the N.S. Arts and Culture Partnership Council, Véronique has met 2010 with a flurry of activity including a residency at The Banff Centre for the Arts and a spot in Halifax’s inaugural Older and Reckless, a series first established in Toronto by choreographer Claudia Moore.

After completing two commissions for Halifax Dance’s The Young Company and the Maritime Performance Dance Group, Véronique completed an artist-in-residence project for Perform N.S. and spent her summer creating and performing in Twisted Themepark II for the Edmonton Fringe Festival.

Her fall will include teaching at NSCAD University and the Dalhousie Theatre department, as well as Halifax Dance. She will travel up to Labrador to participate in their annual Arts festival and with support from the Canada Council for the Arts, she will continue to work on her next big collaboration project entitled “Motion Activated” with visual artist Susan Tooke and musician/composer Lukas Pearse (also supported by the N.S. Department of Tourism, Culture and Heritage)
