A recipient of one of Nova Scotia's prestigious Established Artist Awards, this eclectic choreographer continues to create collaborative work as well as immerse herself in the exploration of the comedic and traditional genres. In recent seasons, Veronique has had the pleasure of completing a residency at the Banff Centre for the Arts, performing and teaching at the Labrador Arts Festival, and presenting her one-woman comedy show at the Edmonton Folk Festival. In Halifax, her work with Halifax Dance's The Young Company and the Maritime Performance Dance Group continues to delight audiences and she has just come from performing for Halifax's first inaugural Suitcase Festival as well as the Nocturne: Arts at Night Festival. Veronique will continue to work on her next big collaboration project entitled "Motion Activated" with visual artist Susan Tooke and musician/composer Lukas Pearse (Supported by the N.S. Department of Tourism, Culture and Heritage and the Canada Council for the Arts). Veronique is currently artist-in-residence for Perform N.S. at Dartmouth High School, and she is a faculty member at NSCAD, Dalhousie Theatre Department, and Halifax Dance.
