contact Rachel Nolan
Rachel began her professional career in publishing, first in magazine and later in academic publishing, after graduating with a dual degree in English Literature and Psychology from Queen’s University. Upon completing graduate studies in Cultural Management, she spent four seasons as Marketing Manager at Toronto Dance Theatre, handling communications, publicity and marketing for the organization, and working with an array of incredible artists and administrators.
Rachel moved out of the dance world for two years, taking over as Executive Director of an experimental music venue, before being named Development Manager at the DTRC. In her current role, she is responsible for managing and strengthening fundraising and development efforts of the organization, from public and private sources, through a number of campaigns and strategic initiatives.
Rachel is a dancer and a writer, with a passion for travel. She spent the latter half of 2008 making her way up the east coast of Africa, and through Southeast Asia to Easter Island. She has had the pleasure of developing her craft as a writer with Canadian authors Jane Finlay Young and the late Annie Jacobson. She sits on the Board of Directors at Wavelength Music Arts Projects and Sore for Punching You Dance Company. She is thrilled to have returned to dance, and looks forward to bringing her life-long love of the art to her new role.
