contact Kallee Lins
Kallee first gained interest in the DTRC after hearing incredibly positive feedback about the organization’s work from within the Toronto dance community. Her experience ranges widely across performance, media, academia, and arts administration, though all with the common focus of advocating for the performing arts in Canada. Originally from BC where she first fell in love with dance, Kallee moved to Montreal to study political science and theatre, as well as to continue training in modern and contemporary dance within Montreal’s incredibly rich dance community. She began choreographing with the Inertia Modern Dance Collective during her time there.
Eventually, she came to Toronto to pursue a Master of Theatre and Performance Studies degree, and currently, a PhD in Dance Studies at York University. For the past few years, she has spent the summer touring around Ontario as part of Dusk Dances’ production team, and recently assisted with volunteer coordination at the Luminato Festival. She looks forward to a busy year ahead at the DTRC, though in her spare time you’ll find her working on her food blog and playing fetch with her cat named Lucy.
