Director - Fundraising and Development
contact Isabella Cairess Favaro
Isabella brings to the DTRC rich, varied and award winning experience in the arts and broadcasting, online production and charitable fundraising. She studied at both the Royal Winnipeg Ballet and L’École supérieure de ballet du Québec, and danced with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens. When a back injury forced her to stop dancing, she embarked on a fascinating experience as an international model, working in Japan Switzerland, Italy & Canada. The DTRC’s career testing helped her find a new direction in film and broadcasting. She studied at Ryerson on a full scholarship, then worked on hundreds of documentaries at the CBC. She created her own independent production company, directing and producing the acclaimed Leap of Faith: The Dance of Mikhail Baryshnikov. After producing on 5 seasons of House & Home TV with Lynda Reeves, Isabella co-created & directed the groundbreaking, fully sponsored and profitable, weekly online program for House and Home Magazine. More recently she directed & managed a highly successful charity event at the world famous Lord’s Cricket Grounds in London, England. She is thrilled to be joining the DTRC to help it grow, flourish and continue to support Canadian artists.
